Every week, a new beer...
I like beer. Don't you? Doesn't everyone? I noticed a while back that of all the beers I've ever had, I've never found one, not even one, that I didn't like.
Now, I have friends that don't like Guinness, because it's "too dark". And I have friends that don't like Coors, because it's not dark like Guinness. But from what I can tell, and from reading what any beer enthusiast who's worth his weight in hops writes, the color of a beer is not a strong indication of its taste. There are some pale ales out there that are full of complex flavor, and there are dark beers that are pretty light on taste.
So every week, probably Friday on the way home from work, or Saturday evening, I'll go and buy a beer that I've never had. And then I'll write about how much I love it. Because there are no bad beers. At least, I haven't found one yet. Maybe I will some day - and then that beer will have to hang its head in shame.
I also need to fill in notes on beers that I've already experienced.
I'll usually be trying the beers from a bottle, but if I happen to be out somewhere where there's a beer on tap that I've never tried, I'll go that route - I'll just have to make sure to write down some notes about the taste before I go home.
If you'd like to suggest a beer, by all means, drop me a line.
